In celebration of her latest book A Place Called Home, the ‘Queen of Print’ Cath Kidston will be in conversation with curator Teresa Collenette, where she will reveal the secrets to achieving her signature style in this online talk.
In this intimate discussion, Cath will delve into her creative process and share the reasons behind her design choices. Equipped with stories, a wealth of experience and expert advice, she will reveal how anyone can transform a house into a home.
An interior design and styling icon, Cath Kidston founded her brand in 1993 and built it into a globally recognised name. In 2017, she founded a new solo venture, Joy of Print, a creative studio specialising in designing print for the interiors and fashion worlds.
Teresa Collenette is a design historian. A graduate of the Royal College of Art / Victoria and Albert Museum History of Design Masters programme, she is part of the curatorial team at the Fashion and Textile museum including Swinging London, Zandra Rhodes: 50 Years of Fabulous and the upcoming Beautiful People.
Designer Cath Kidston is famous for her high-street brand and nostalgic floral patterns. In this book, she invites readers into her own home to talk about patterns, colour, décor and more. Room by room, she gives an illuminating tour of her Gloucestershire house, pointing out interesting style choices and snazzy materials. From charming picture frames and fireplaces, to vintage patterns and rugs that tie the room together, Cath Kidston’s personal style and interiors vision shines through. Along the way she shares decorating ideas, tips and tricks for turning a house into a home. Cath Kidston MBE is a fashion designer, businesswoman, author and founder of Cath Kidston Limited, which sells home furnishing and related goods. Her floral pattern designs are internationally famous.
