Sam McKechnie author of The Magpie & The Wardrobe and Miss Violet’s Doll’s House, will be running three different winter workshops at the Country Brocante fair on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th of November.

The Magpie and the Wardrobe – Fairy Doll in a Matchbox
Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th November, 11.30am to 12pm, £40

Join Sam and decorate a matchbox to create a magical fairy bed for your miniature doll. This workshop will last half an hour.

The Magpie and the Wardrobe –Treasure Scrapbook
Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th November, 1.30pm to 2.30pm, £50

Join Sam on her creative treasure scrapbook workshop. Create and cover a small plain notebook in soft antique and French floral fabric, typing words, messages and pasting ephemeral treasures. This workshop will last up to one hour.

The Magpie and the Wardrobe – Christmas Treasure Garland
Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th November, 3.30pm to 4.30pm, £80

Create a unique and timeless heirloom with Sam. Found objects and eclectic antiques and vintage treasures fastened to antique ribbons, using a fine drill, pliers and needle and thread. All materials will be provided, feel free to bring extra treasures if there is anything you would like to include. This workshop will last up to one hour.
