Join Lisa Stickley to learn how to make Long Legged Nell, the squishy squashy roundy elephant with super long legs from her new book Makes For Mini Folk (Pavilion £14.99).

Nell is a perfect soft toy to make for a little one, but also a great addition as a quirky cushion for the sofa where she will look right at home sitting up very neatly. She takes a bit of patience to stuff (we recommend a nice slice of cake and cup of tea for this bit!) but just to wiggle Nell’s legs about and give her a squeeze when she is complete, is well worth the effort.

To make Nell come to life you’ll use a simple straight stitch on the sewing machine which means she’s the perfect project for those getting to grips with a sewing machine. There’ll be stitching and clipping of curves, inserting the big floppy ears, a little hand stitching to close her up and hand embroidering for Nell’s eye. Even if you’re a seasoned sewer you’ll find there are still some new skills to learn and a fun project to complete again at home.

All materials are included in the class.
