Meet Matthew Rice at Richmond Literature Festival

14/11/2018 3:00 pm – 14/11/2018 4:00 pm | Twickenham Library, Garfield Road, TwickenhamTW1 3JT
Come along to Richmond Literature Festival on Wednesday 14th November to hear Matthew Rice discuss his new book Pat Albeck: Queen of the Tea Towel.
Pat Albeck designed over 300 tea towels for the National Trust. Each of her designs merited a visit to the place to be depicted, whether in Cornwall, Scotland or Norfolk, and her designs became synonymous with a visit to a Trust property.
Pat died in 2017 and the legacy of her remarkable work has been collected, loved and studied. Her son Matthew Rice, will introduce you to some of her best loved designs, offering a unique insight into her work.
Join Rice as he takes you on a journey through the colour-washed harling of Scottish castles, Pat’s homage to her literary hero Thomas Hardy, her passion for gardens – more specifically flowers, and her love of cats.
When: Wednesday 14th November, 3pm
Where: Twickenham Library, Garfield Road, TwickenhamTW1 3JT
