TWO PAVILION COOKBOOKS SHORTLISTED FOR THE 2019 FORTNUM & MASON FOOD AND DRINK AWARDS

12/04/19
Asma’s Indian Kitchen by restaurateur Asma Khan is shortlisted in the ‘Debut Cookery Book’ category. Founder of the award-winning Darjeeling Express restaurant, Asma Khan is the first British chef to feature on Netflix’s cult TV series ‘Chef’s Table’ (February 2019). Her cookbook reveals the secret to her success, telling her immigrant’s story and how food brought her home. The recipes pay homage to her royal Mughlai ancestry and follow the route of the Darjeeling Express train from the busy streets of Bengal, through Calcutta, where she grew up, and along the foothills of the Himalayas to Hyderabad.
Sight, Smell, Touch, Taste, Sound: A New Way to Cook by award-winning food writer Sybil Kapoor is shortlisted for ‘Cookery Book of the Year’. The book is essential reading for anyone who loves to cook. Sybil leads the reader through simplified kitchen theory and a selection of tempting recipes to reveal how we can unlock the power of our five senses to make amazing meals.
The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 16th May at Fortnum & Mason. View the full shortlist here https://www.fortnumandmason.com/events/food-and-drink-awards-shortlist
